A special thanks goes out to the Rockford Eagles FOE 1292, Chatt Insurance Center Inc, and an anonymous donor for funding the project - and local Boy Scouts and Rockford Rec. board members for making this project a reality for the upcoming summer season!

Rockford Rec Receives AED Equip.

JULY 3, 2015

Rockford Recreation Association receives life-saving AED equipment and training with the help of Betsy Scheonleben, nurse, of Rockford, and a grant funded by Mercer Health.

With the increasing number of athletes and visitors that take part in Rockford Recreation Association and Shane's Park activties each year, and the growing concern for heart health and safety, it was important for our programs and to our board members to assure that adequate procautions are in place to reduce or prevent potentially fatal or severe life-changing incidents from taking place - where in an emergency every second counts.
