The Rockford Recreation Association will host their annual MLB Pitch, Hit, & Run competition at Shanes Park on Sunday, April 17th at 1:00pm. All boys and girls, ages 7-14 (age determined as of July 17th, 2016), compete in separate age divisions and participants have the opportunity to advance through four levels of competition including Local, Regional, MLB Team Championships (held at all 30 MLB ballparks) and the National Finals at the MLB All-Star Game.

To register, participants can complete the online registration or print and download the registration form at www.rockfordrec.com and bring the completed form to the Shanes Park concession stand on the day of the competition. This is a free event sponsored by the Rockford Recreation Association. In the event of inclement weather on that day, communication will be made on the Rockford Recreation Association Facebook page.

More exciting news for this year's event  - The Rockford Recreation has been asked by MLB Pitch, Hit, & Run to host the 2016 District competition on Saturday, May 7th. This means that our local participants who qualify at the local competition on April 10th will be eligible to compete in the District competition that will be hosted right here in our own town! This will bring qualifiers from throughout Northwest Ohio to Rockford for a chance to advance another step closer to the MLB Team Championships!
